Team Martial Arts for Life at the Sharing Network Celebration of Life 5K in New Providence, NJ

Team MAFL - 107 Members strong in 2026. It warmed our heart to have so many of our students, their families, friends and community members join our team and help us remember Justin in a special way.

It was an AMAZING day at the NJ Sharing Network' s annual Celebration of Life 5K on Sunday. June 7th.

Team Martial Arts for Life was 107 members strong this year, and together we raised $4,728 for the NJ Sharing Network Foundation. This brings our grand total to over $80,000 raised since we first participated in this great event in 2012.

We are so grateful to every student, parent, family member, friend, and supporter who came out to walk, run, donate, cheer, and help us honor the life and memory of our friend and student, Mr. Justin Iuliano.

This event has been special to us for many years, but since Justin’s passing it has taken on even greater meaning. We are proud to continue walking in his honor, supporting a life-saving cause, and keeping his memory alive with the people who loved him.

It was a great day where we honored Justin for his contributions to MAFL over the years, his service to the local community (he was a volunteer EMT for New Providence EMS for many years) and for saving lives through organ donation.

Thank you to everyone who came out and made the team over 100 members strong.

I wanted to thank everyone who participated in the NJ Sharing Network 5K. For the past four years, Martial Arts for Life has dedicated their team in Justin’s honor, and my family and I are incredibly grateful.

It means so much to us that Justin is still being honored and remembered this way.

My name is Alex Iuliano, Justin’s older brother. Justin and I started training at Martial Arts for Life back in 2006, when MAFL first opened. We both trained there for many years and earned our second-degree black belts.

Justin was a kind-hearted person. His last selfless act on earth was donating his organs so others may live.

Justin is deeply missed every day, but knowing that his organ donation touched so many lives, and that a part of him continues to live on, brings comfort to our family.

I also want to sincerely thank Mr. and Mrs. B, who without hesitation have dedicated Martial Arts for Life’s team in honor of Justin. They have always been there for us. They are the definition of family in their family-owned business, and I am grateful and thankful to them for everything they have done.

All funds raised in the NJ Sharing Network 5K are used to support NJ Sharing Network Foundation and programs designed to increase organ and tissue donation through education and awareness of this life-saving and health restoring cause. Nationwide, over 110,000 people are waiting for their second chance and the magnitude of this gift is truly amazing as one donor can save the lives of up to 8 people and restore health for over 50 others!
